(Al-Ahraf) 7 : 188

You say: "I have no control for myself to acquire benefit or harm except Lord Allah wishes. If I had known the unseen, I would have increased from a good, while no evil would affect me; indeed, I am none except a warner and a herald for the believing people".

It is told in verses 17: 90-93: "The Meccan pagans told Messenger: 'We will not believe in you until you gush forth a spring from the earth for us or you have a garden of datepalms and grapes and gush forth rivers within them flowing unstintingly or you make the sky fall upon us in fragments as you have claimed or you bring Lord and the Angels before us or you have a house of gems or you ascend into the sky, and we will not believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a Book which we can read'. You say: 'Glory is to my Lord! Am I nothing other than a human Messenger?'". And it is told in verses 50: 50-51: "Messenger told his people: 'So you flee to Lord Indeed, I am to you from Him a manifest warner. And you don't make with Lord another deity; indeed, I am to you from Him a manifest warner'".

Since Adhikr is codified as the Best Interpretation of the Lord's Book, whoever hides and rejects It from the people of Messenger are the Fujjar and Kuffar. The Fujjar have made their food 'rejecting Adhikr' as explained in verse 7: 26. Everyone who received Lord’s Book should know the Messenger more than they know their offspring, but those who have made lost their soul will not believe as explained in verses 2: 146 and 6: 20. The filthy Fujjar consider Adhikr as filth, so It will increase to them nothing except filth over filth as explained in verses 9: 28, 95, and 125.

The believer holdfasts the Safeguard Adhikr, so he did holdfast Lord and is guided into the Straightpath as explained in verse 5: 48. Adhikr will safeguard him from all calamities, disasters, diseases, and Hell. For such believers who have submitted wholly to the Lord, Adhikr will be Guidance, Mercy, and Herald as explained in verse 16: 89. The odd believer should follow a lifestyle explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 2: 272; 4: 27-28, 150-151; 6: 35, and 10: 15-16.
